Here are some answers to our most popular questions.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU COME TO MY HOME?

First thing you will notice is we take steps to protect your home.  We always remove our shoes and all our equipment (ladders, buckets, etc) never touch your carpet.  We always have something under them.  Usually you don't have to do anything.  Most blinds and curtains don't get in our way.  If you have anything breakable or of value we may ask you to move it.  We move any furniture or small items and then place them back.  When we clean your windows we wipe the screens and ledges too.  You just need to sit back and enjoy the sparkle!

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO CLEAN MY HOME?

It's hard to know without seeing the house. Different style windows cost more than others. Regular crank out style windows are the cheapest. Sliders and windows that tilt in cost more as they take more time to do. We do not do combination style windows. Some windows have storm windows and this equals more glass and more time to take them apart and clean between the glass. Then how many windows and if we need ladders come into effect. The best thing to do is call and get a free estimate. You do not need to be home when we do the estimate and there is no obligation.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CLEAN MY WINDOWS?

The answer to that can very.  For commercial locations we recommend every week or two for high traffic places like restaurants and stores.  Lower traffic places like offices maybe only need a cleaning a couple of times a year.  We can suggest frequency with you when we give you a free estimate.  When it comes to homes we suggest twice a year.  Many of our customers have a full cleaning in the spring and then have an out only done in the fall.  Some even have us come monthly!

ARE YOU A FRANCHISE?

No we are a locally owned business. When you call our phone is answered by one of the owners. When you spend your money with Mr. Sparkle it stays in Fargo-Moorhead.

MY WINDOWS LOOK FOGGY EVEN AFTER CLEANING THEM, WHAT'S THAT ABOUT?

The cloudiness is between the two panes of glass. Some days (and especially at night) the cloudiness disappears, but then it reappears—and over time the cloudy area becomes larger, thicker and more obtrusive. This is called a broken seal. Most high-quality double-pane windows manufactured today have two perimeter seals, an inner seal that resists water, aging and corrosion, and an outer seal that provides rigidity and strength. If one seal fails, the other can—at least for a while—pick up the slack. Some windows may have just a single seal. Moist air starts entering through a bad or broken seal, it’s a downhill slide. It’s just a matter of time before your window starts to fog. Companies that replace insulating glass will tell you most of their work takes place on windows with direct sun exposure. Heat causes the panes to expand and contract, and it softens and weakens the seals until they develop a crack in their armor and allow moist air in. Even the most elastic, flexible seal can’t last forever. Eventually a seal will allow moisture to enter the window. Impact will rarely break the seal of a healthy window, but it can be the last straw for one already weakened. When windows fog and fail, the only viable option is replacement.

WHAT KIND OF PAYMENTS DO YOUR ACCEPT?

We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. You can pay your window cleaner at the time of service, mail in a check pay online, or call the office with your credit card.

HOW LATE IN THE YEAR CAN I GET MY WINDOWS CLEANED?

Actually we work all year long. Yes, we do clean windows in the winter. So go ahead and schedule that window cleaning in January.

WHY CAN'T I ALWAYS GET THE DATE I WANT FOR A APPOINTMENT?

We try our best to accommodate all our customers the best we can. Unfortunately we do have busy periods. Just like your favorite restaurant you may have to wait during our prime busy times. Our advise is to always call way in advance.
